The Wolverine is part of the X-Men film series and once again stars Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. The events take place after X-Men: The Last Stand where Logan was forced to kill his love Jean Grey to save the world. It has haunted him for some time. Back in 1945, when Logan was a solider during WWII, he saved a Japanese military officer during the bombing of Nagasaki. In present time, that officer is dying of cancer and asks for Logan to visit Japan to repay the debt. The man wants to take Logan’s healing factor so he could recover from cancer and Logan could stop being immortal, something he himself sees as curse. After denying the offer, his healing factor is blocked by a toxin injected into his body. Logan’s then forced to fight a bunch of samurai without his healing capabilities.
1. Power Rangers (2017)
Carlos Dattoii Did an amazing job in this concept art for the new Power Rangers movie. The level of detail is outstanding from the paint job of the zords to the ranger suits. I really like the wear and tear effect on the rangers and the zords, it gives it a more realistic feel because they look like they have been fighting and the wounds and warn out paint shows that.
Ant-Man, released in 2015 and starring Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Scott Lang is a thief with a good heart and is given the Ant-Man suit by Hank Pym himself (played by Michael Douglas) after being tricked into stealing it in the first place. The suit allows Scott to shrink to the size of an ant but giving him super strength at the same time.
Anticipation. It’s something we can’t help but feel whenever a movie studio decides to announce a new film that will spark thousands of people’s interest. Our interest and expectations is what drives us to eat up any bit of promotional material studios throw our way. The best strategy movie studios use to hold our attention are character posters.

Some of the coolest posters are usually made by artists and designers that aren’t a part of the agencies hired by the movie studio to promote a film. These unofficial posters take the creative risks that otherwise would never make it to mainstream marketing, but they are beautiful nonetheless and worthy of a ton of attention!
Recently, some artists at Poster Posse decided to make a tribute to director James Gunn & Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. There were 5 Phases to this “Passion Project” of theirs, leading up to the release of the film this past weekend.
Optimus has left earth in search of his maker leaving the autobots without their leader. Earth is in danger and without the almighty optimus prime to protect it, it is up to the humans to fight and protect their home from the eminent destruction. Without optimus prime the human race last hope lies in the history of the transformers on earth and the hidden secrets.
With the premiere of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 this Friday, May 5th, Reel Design decided to show the theatrical poster AND the individual character posters, in case you haven’t seen them. We’ve written about the Guardian’s mixtape poster before, but these are equally as cool.
The God of Thunder is back with a new look in Thor: Ragnarok. In the official teaser trailer released by Marvel (view below), Hela, the goddess of death and ruler of Hel and Niflheim, makes her way to Asgard and annihilates it. This includes Thor’s hammer Mjölnir, which Hela catches after being thrown by Thor (a truly WTF moment) and breaks it into pieces with one hand. The destruction of Asgard seemingly launches Thor into outer space where he crash lands onto a very colorful planet full of aliens. He’s taken prisoner and his beautiful golden hair is cut off. We get to meet Valkyrie (played by Tessa Thompson) and Grandmaster (played by Jeff Goldblum) who hosts gladiator matches in a huge colosseum. The main event just happens to be Thor vs. Hulk, where Thor says an awfully hilarious, “We know each other! He’s a friend from work!”
